FAQ About subscription and
credit card billing - online method

Q: Who charges and bills my credit card when I register online?

A: We use the services of a US-based credit card billing company called "CCBill". They will charge and bill your credit card, taking a percentage and forwarding the rest of the payment to us. They handle thousands of other companies on the Internet and are very reliable.

Q: Is my credit card number secure?

A: Yes it is, the company uses an encrypted method of transmission so your credit card number will be handled securely.

Q: How will the purchase appear on my credit card bill? Is it discreet?

A: Yes, it is. The text will be: "Internet Billing Company". Nothing else.

Q: Will I get an invoice?

A: You will get an invoice by email once the credit card billing company has authorized the payment and charged your credit card (usually within a few hours). If payment has been refused by your bank (e.g. because you entered the wrong number, the card has expired or for lack of funds) then you will not receive access and will receive an error message online.

Q: What should I do if I haven't received the invoice within 24 hours?

You may have given no or the wrong email address. You can reduce the likelihood of this happening by checking your own email address IN ADVANCE. It's easy to do. Just send an email to yourself and see if it arrives. If it doesn't, you are probably mistaken in the detail of your own address. We know from experience about 1% of all Internet users don't know their exact email addresses; with CompuServe users, that figure rises to 25%. So CompuServe users, please do please check your email address before submitting it. Remember, if you submit an incorrect address, we may have no means of contacting you.

Q: How will the purchase appear on my credit card bill if, instead of the online registration, I fax, post or email my card details to DWW?

A: Statement of account: "DWW" nothing else.

From the United States, ordinary mail takes around a week to reach us here in Austria. Give us another 3 days to email your password or fax it to you. If you don't have an email address, allow around 10 days for the answer to reach you by post. If you haven’t received your password 2 weeks after you sent the money, then please send us an email.

Q: How will I receive my password if I pay by check, MO, or cash?

A: Customers paying by MO or in cash will receive their passwords by email, fax or snail mail, as they direct us. How long this takes will depend upon the means used to send the payment. We will only use air mail or a courier service if you request it and pay the difference. (add $ 10 for priority mail, add $ 20 for DHL express delivery). However, if we transmit your password by fax or email would be free of charge. If paying by check, allow up to 3 weeks for the check to clear. Eurocheques are cleared within 3 days.
