MONITOR THE PROGRESS OF YOUR DWW ORDER OVER THE INTERNET. ANONYMITY ASSURED !

Deutsch

No sooner have some of our customers posted their order than they want to know whether or not we have received it; a few days later they want to know whether we’ve posted it yet; and a few days after that they want to know when we posted it.

On occasion, we may also be having problems: perhaps we are unable to debit your account using the credit card number you have given us; or perhaps you have sent too little money and we have written to you but not yet received a reply. It’s very time consuming answering all these enquiries, so we’ve come up with an idea. Why not allow our customers to monitor the progress of their orders over the Internet, the way UPS and DHL do? It isn’t as though we don’t have a home page. Now, obviously, we can’t follow the progress of the package after we’ve posted it, but we can tell you when we posted it and when we received your order.

How does the scheme work?

In the first place, it has to be anonymous. Not everyone wants to see their names published in the Internet, so we need to use a kind of "Airwaybill" number, a code known only to yourself and ourselves which will be the only means of identifying your order when we publish information on its progress.

We call it: "shipping number".

Then all you have to do is look up the page, find your shipping number and you will see how things are coming along. If the number isn’t there, either we haven’t received your order yet, or we have but haven’t had time to process it.

How can I take advantage of the scheme?

Easy. If you use the DWW Online Store on the internet then you will get an automatic shipping number, created by our software for your convenience. Make a note of it and use it later for tracking your order.

However, if you order by phone, fax, email or mail then think yourself of any combination of up to 10 (upper case) letters or digits, enter it in the box marked "personal 10- digits shipping number" (identification number) on your order form and make a note of it so you won’t forget it. Make sure it’s a number that nobody else is likely to have thought of. "A1", "100" and "0000000000" would be less than ideal choices. "A1245HH710" would be an excellent choice were it not for the fact that we’ve used it here - always consider the possibility, however remote J , that there may be someone else on the planet with a sense of humour as highly developed as your own. As soon as we’ve processed your order, your number will be posted on the Progress page and you will be able to monitor its progress.

The report page will look something like this:
